I love nothing more than great storytelling that awakens you from the everyday, and invites you to dream.

I delight in the unspoken challenge of visually articulating thoughts, emotions, and experiences into tangible works of art. As I turn my daydreams into drawings, every piece is created with the hope that the viewer will read between the lines. Tap into their imagination, and explore my visions that border on the fringe of reality.

On the brink of sensible and surreal, my work often blurs the duality between man and nature. And calls into question the illusions and boundaries that separate us. My aesthetic is to seek a balance and unity in a world of opposition. I often depict this through the integration of human portraits, animals and natural elements.

Nature is truly my muse. I was born and raised on the Southern Oregon Coast - here, natural beauty surrounds in every direction. I spend a great deal of time lost in enchantment and awed by all the natural spectacles. I'm happy to reside in a place that continues to inspire and cultivates my sense of wonder.

I have an Associates Degree in Fine Art, which I received from the College of Lake County in 2012. However, I would say I'm mostly self taught. My strengths are in pencil/pen/chalk pastel drawing.  I've loved drawing from the moment I was old enough to hold a pencil to paper. And my passion to create has only grown stronger.

I am available for freelance work and job opportunities. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, send me an email contact@megangrayart.com or fill out the form on my contact page.
